　　中间大部分八卦，都是没什么意思的，比如第一个在白宫骑马的总统、第一个在白宫坐车的总统……顺便猜想了下一个第一个在白宫做什么的，会不会是做宇宙飞船。

　　不过有个八卦挺有意思，放在这里。

　　Theodore Roosevelt wasn’t the only President to invent a new expression. Martin Van Buren, the eighth President, is sometimes credited with creating the word “OK.” Van Buren was from Kinderhook, New York. During his campaign, Old Kinderhook (O.K.) clubs formed to support the President. Later, “OK” or “okay,” came to mean “all right.”

　　Theodore Roosevelt不是唯一一个发明了新名词儿的总统。第八届总统马丁·范布伦，是词语“OK”的发明人（这位仁兄真的是做了见了不起的大事，现在全世界都在用啊）。马丁·范布伦来自纽约州的肯德胡克。在他从事竞选的时候，成立了Old Kinderhook (O.K.)俱乐部（是不是肯德胡克老乡会？）来支援他。之后，”OK”或者”okay”就有了”还不错“的意思。

　　Theodore Roosevelt承接上文，他发明的新名词儿是White House，显然不如老马发明的使用广泛。
